My name is K. Virginia Bond and I have been teaching since 1988. (Wow
how time flies!) I started my teaching career as a music teacher and in 2002
changed to Instructional Technology. I have been honored to teach the
students at Salmon River Elementary since 1989.

I received my Bachelors of Music Education from the Crane School of Music (SUNY
Potsdam) in July 1989 (concentration French Horn) and my Masters of Science
Education from SUNY Potsdam in 1994. I am permanently certified in Music
Education K-12.
Professionally I have provided staff
development courses for the Salmon River School District, FEH BOCES, the
Adirondack Teacher Center, and have taught online courses through NYS
Teacher Centers and NYIT. I am currently a Verizon Thinkfinity trainer, have
trained extensively using SMARTBoards and Notebook software and am a proud member of
the Policy Board of the Adirondack Teacher Center. (http://www.adirondackteachercenter.org)
As an instructional technology teacher (aka
), I have enjoyed teaching students how
to use the computer and teaching adults how to integrate the computer into
their curriculum. For the last 9 years I have worked hard to learn many new
skills, including web design which is now one of my favorite things to do.

When I'm not at school, I am usually
with my family, involved in church events. My husband is a United Methodist
pastor in Malone and Constable, New York. My oldest step-daughter is in
college and my son is a clarinetist, now bass clarinet and my daughter plays
trombone. She is a RUNNING fanatic but also enjoys snowboarding and
art. Our family has two
dogs, Sweetie (a toy fox terrier) and Wesley
(a
dachshund), and Milton the bunny!
I am a pianist for Constable UMC and am involved in the choir in Malone. I
LOVE to play flute and sing in church. I enjoying watching my daughter
run and I
also love to garden, knit
and crochet
and eat chocolate!! |
