| 2. Install and patch operating systems, browsers and other programs. |
| 3. Understand passwords and
authentication. Use a combination of numbers and letters the longer the password the more secure |
| 4. Lock your workstation whenever you leave it |
| 5. Backup important files regularly. |
| 6. Be careful when using the
internet. Never share personal information with people you don't know |
| 7. Be careful when sending information through E-mail and Instant Messaging |
| 8. Beware of cyber bullying. |
