Meet Mrs. Gray

Hello, my name is Erin Gray.  I am a third grade teacher here at the Salmon River Elementary School.  This is my 9th year teaching.  I live just outside of Bombay with my 3 children; Rylie, Matthew, and Natalie.  I graduated from Salmon River in '97 and went on to get my Bachelor's degree from Plattsburgh State.  I then went on to get my Master's degree from SUNY Potsdam in education.  I am certified to teach grades Pre-k - 6th.

Throughout college I was a substitute teacher and realized that teaching was meant for me.  I enjoy my job, my colleagues and every student I am fortunate enough to meet and work with.   During the winter months I also coach figure skating here at Salmon.

My first priority is always my family but I want the parents of my students to know that at school, I care a great deal about their child and look out for their well being first.  I approach every situation the same as I would want done with my own children and strive for them to be successful.  I know that each child is unique and may have different needs.  I feel that I am a fair and patient teacher and will do my best to accommodate to each individual.  I strive to do my best as a parent, educator, and community member.  If we have not already met, I hope that we can get the chance to very soon!
