Scientific Method

1. purpose-what for?  reason for doing experiment

2. question-what you would like to find out

3. materials-items you need to do the experiment

4. hypothesis-what you think will happen (logical guess)

5. procedure- the steps that you take, the things that you have to do

6. observation- what you see ,hear, smell, WHAT YOU NOTICE

7. conclusion- the answer to the question

8. experiment- what scientists do to test a hypothesis

10. control- in an experiment, the thing that stays the same
