Water Cycle Vocabulary
water cycle	the stages of water
evaporation	heat energy from the sun causes water to change from water (liquid) to water vapor (gas)
water vapor	gas forms of water
transpiration	plants release water vapor into the atmosphere (like evaporation --> in plants)
condensation	changing of water vapor (gas) to liquid water
precipitation	the falling of water to the ground as rain, snow, sleet or rain
collection-	where the falling water gathers-->rivers, lakes, ground (ground water)
run off	precipitation runs down an object it has landed on and flows back into a body of water (river, ocean, lake)
erosion	the wearing away of rocks and soil by water

The Water Cycle Song Water travels in a cycle, yes it does. Water travels in a cycle, yes it does. It goes up as evaporation. Forms clouds as condensation, Then falls down as precipitation, yes it does.
