7 Continent Song

Our world has
seven continents
and four big oceans too.
If you take a close look at a map
you'll see it's 3/4 blue.
North and South America make up the western
land.
Antarctica is by itself, far down in the south
it stands.
Europe and Asia, the look like one big piece.
With Africa to the south of them and Australia
to the southeast.

Students learned Mrs.
Post's "Seven Continent Song". We sing it at
the beginning of Social Studies class. If you
know the song you know how to label a world map.
Students worked as partners to label a world map.
One partner sang the song while the other partner
moved the names of the continents to the correct
place. The activity was an enjoyable review
for all! |
